The idea behind the platform
Built in response to a real need.
The idea for evalKeeper began with a simple question:
was there a modern platform available to help replace
older assistive technology assessment tools and better
support the full assessment process?
That question revealed a broader challenge. Many AT
professionals were still managing important work
through a mixture of paper forms, word-processing
documents, spreadsheets, email, shared drives, and
separate systems.
1
The need was broader than a single form
Assistive technology assessment work includes more
than collecting answers. Professionals may need to
organize referral details, functional needs,
environments, observations, device options,
trials, recommendations, funding documentation,
implementation tasks, and follow-up.
2
Disconnected tools made the process harder
When information is stored in separate files and
systems, it becomes harder to review the complete
story, compare device trials, explain why a
recommendation was made, or see what needs to
happen next.
3
evalKeeper became a connected workspace
evalKeeper was developed to bring assessment
documentation, trial evidence, reports,
recommendations, implementation planning, tasks,
and follow-up into one organized platform built
around assistive technology services.
